Fragrances Inspired by Montale
Fragrances Inspired by Montale
Big, oud-forward, and built for sillage that announces you before you arrive. Four independent formulations, each built around a different Montale release.
The Montale Style
Montale is a Paris-based niche house known for one thing above all: intensity. Big, oud-forward compositions at a far higher concentration than most designer fragrances, built for the kind of projection that fills a room.
Rose and oud is the house’s signature pairing, though the catalogue stretches into fruity and floral territory too — always at volume, never apologetically.
Our Own Formulation, Not a Copy
Every fragrance below is blended in the UK, by us, from our own formula — not licensed, not manufactured under any agreement with Montale, and not sold as the genuine product.
What we’ve done is study what makes those releases work — the concentration and the oud-forward structure that give the house its sillage — and build our own version, at a fraction of the price, using the fragrance-oil-forward approach we use across the whole Dahab range.
The Collection
Four fragrances, four different Montale references, one shared throughline — nothing here fades by lunch. Most are available as a Perfume Oil; some also come as a Room Spray.

Arabian Dust
Saffron and bergamot open it, agarwood and Bulgarian rose take it somewhere richer. Available as a Perfume Oil, Eau de Parfum and Room Spray.

Oud Blanc
Oud with the volume turned down and the quality turned up — clean, pale wood instead of smoke and shadow. Available as a Room Spray.

Desert Rose
Rose with actual heat behind it — not the polite, powdery version, the one that’s been sitting in the sun. Available as a Perfume Oil and Room Spray.

Oud Flowers
Proof that oud and florals aren’t opposites — petals softening a wood that never fully lets its guard down. Available as a Perfume Oil.
Related Fragrance Families
This collection sits mainly across three of our eight scent families.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the same fragrance as Montale’s oud collection?
No. Each fragrance here is Dahab’s own independent formulation, inspired by the structure and character of a specific Montale release. We are not manufactured, endorsed, or affiliated with Montale or its parent company, and these are not sold as genuine Montale products.
Why are Montale-inspired fragrances so strong?
Montale built its name on high fragrance-oil concentration and bold oud, so our versions follow the same principle — our perfume oils sit around 25% concentration, well above the industry norm, for the same kind of projection and staying power.
What’s the difference between the Perfume Oil and Room Spray versions?
The Perfume Oil is alcohol-free and worn directly on pulse points, giving the closest, longest-lasting wear. The Room Spray is for scenting a space rather than your skin.
Which one is closest to Montale Black Aoud?
Desert Rose is our independent formulation built around that rose-and-heat pairing. It is not a reformulation or copy, just our own take on the same fragrance family.
Are these fragrances suitable for sensitive skin?
As with any fragrance oil, we’d recommend a small patch test before full application if you have sensitive skin or known fragrance allergies. Full ingredient information is listed on each product page.
