The Arabian Oud Style
Arabian Oud is one of the oldest and largest houses in Gulf perfumery, built on generations of oud-trading heritage rather than a single signature perfumer. Its catalogue spans traditional bakhoor-adjacent ouds through to lighter, more contemporary florals.
It’s a different tradition to Western niche perfumery — one built around oud as a material worth showcasing on its own terms, not just as a supporting note.
Our Own Formulation, Not a Copy
Every fragrance below is blended in the UK, by us, from our own formula — not licensed, not manufactured under any agreement with Arabian Oud, and not sold as the genuine product.
What we’ve done is study what makes those releases work — the traditional oud-forward structure and material quality the house is known for — and build our own version, at a fraction of the price, using the fragrance-oil-forward approach we use across the whole Dahab range.
The Collection
Two fragrances, two different Arabian Oud references, one shared throughline — nothing here fades by lunch. Available as a Perfume Oil, with Madawi also available as an Eau de Parfum.
Sapphire Oud
Built around the legendary “blue oud” of old Arabian incense tradition — bergamot, rose and white saffron open it; Cambodian oud and patchouli close it. Available as a Perfume Oil.
Madawi
Peach and apple blossom up top, pineapple blossom for exotic lift, settling into something warmer than the opening promises. Available as a Perfume Oil and Eau de Parfum.

Is this the same fragrance as Arabian Oud’s originals?
No. Each fragrance here is Dahab’s own independent formulation, inspired by the structure and character of a specific Arabian Oud release. We are not manufactured, endorsed, or affiliated with Arabian Oud or its parent company, and these are not sold as genuine Arabian Oud products.
What’s the difference between the Perfume Oil and Eau de Parfum versions?
The Perfume Oil is alcohol-free and worn directly on pulse points, which tends to give it the closest, longest-lasting wear. The Eau de Parfum is our alcohol-based spray version, with wider projection.
How long does this collection last on skin?
Our perfume oils are blended at around 25% fragrance oil concentration, well above the industry norm, specifically so they don’t fade by lunchtime. Actual wear time still varies with skin type and climate.
Which one is closest to Arabian Oud Madawi?
Our Madawi is our independent formulation built around that peach, apple and pineapple blossom opening. It is not a reformulation or copy, just our own take on the same fragrance family.
Are these fragrances suitable for sensitive skin?
